Green tea helps to fight tooth decay and tooth rot. It won’t necessarily prevent the disease of tooth decay, but it can help to keep your teeth clean, thus lowering the chances of tooth decay. And even if on suffers from tooth decay, green tea can still help the disease from worsening.

Green tea boosts natural energy levels, putting a little extra pep in you step. How is this? Simple. Caffeine. Yes, even green tea has a little caffeine in it. Some drink green tea because they believe it to be free of caffeine, but it’s not true. However, there are some decaffeinated green teas on the market. Still, green tea does have less caffeine than coffee and many other teas.

Green tea is very helpful in lowering high blood pressure. It acts as an excellent health tonic for high blood pressure patients. This is because green tea stimulates blood circulation. Another benefit of green tea is that it helps in preventing tooth decay as it contains fluoride which is essential for the strengthening of the teeth enamel. Green tea is rich in antioxidants. These antioxidants are very helpful in preventing the harm caused by free radicals which are responsible for many diseases. Green tea increases the amount of good cholesterols in our body.
Multiple studies show that the numerous antioxidants in green tea may lower the risk of various types of cancer like breast, prostate, colorectal, pancreatic, esophageal, bladder, lung, and stomach cancer.

Reduces the Risk of Cancer:

In fact, the antioxidants in green tea are 100 times more effective than vitamin C and 24 times better than vitamin E. Drinking as many as four cups of green tea a day may be necessary to reap its anti-cancer benefits.

Digestive Aid:

This next reason to drink tea hits closer to home. A point in my life I had extreme acid reflux and had gas pains often. I noticed when I drink green tea, these symptoms would subside significantly. After doing more research, I discovered that green tea is very well known at reducing intestinal gas and is also good at treating inflammation of other digestive disorders such as ulcers and other diseases such as Crohn’s disease. it is also good at helping with acid reflux.

Liver Health:

Clinical studies show that large amounts of green tea keep liver disorders at bay. Animal studies show that green tea protects the liver from the negative effects of toxic substances such as alcohol, and that green tea’s catechins are helpful in reducing liver redness. Green tea is just one of many foods that cleanse the liver.

Benefit for skin:

Green tea and its extracts are commonly used to prevent and treat a number of skin diseases, including skin cancer.  The high content of a different anti-oxidants, called polyphenols, seems to be responsible for this by removing free radicals from the skin before they have a chance to attack the DNA in you skins cells, which otherwise can lead to cancer.

Topical applications of green tea extracts also help protect against UV exposure from the sun, and are used to reduce the impact the sun has on the health of your skin.
